The Artwork of Donald Haines Sr.
My uncle, Donald Haines Sr., passed away in 2023. During his life, he suffered from Schizophrenia and various other mental and physical health problems that made him a very unique, quiet and, most of all, loving individual. He never aspired to be a serious artist, but created these meticulous pieces which give a glimpse into a very unique mind. Huge thanks to his sister, Margaret Eldridge, for preserving this collection could be shared with the world.
9x12 Artworks
These pieces are chiefly created on 9"x12" newsprint, drawing paper or sometimes lined paper, using ballpoint pens.
A Notebook
70 page, 8.5 x 11" lined notebook paper- spiral bound. Some pages are drawn upon on both sides, and this is reflected in the ghost images you sometimes see showing through in the scans.
